I like this one a lot. I have to try to build one like it next time in the wilderness

I have build this during our camp this last summer. Small wood raft holds the fireplace 'basket' out of the watter. Fireplace is filled with mud to hold the heat away from the wood and hold fire out of the watter.

Small fire pic was a backpacking trip when it rained the whole time, great trip. Snow pic was camping trip and the fire felt great after getting stuck on a trail and digging snow for four hours.
