nice one. I like the no nonsense handle. No super wonder uber adhesive of the week, no $150 stabilizing of leather :)

What i find intresting besides the knife which is beautyfull. In how many places\countries\nationalties do people pay for a knife that is been givin to them.. I thought it was only my mom that insisted on giving money when someone gave her a knife. She didnt care if it would be a penny but you must give or take money. Or that knife wont change hands.

He makes forging look easy! I remember seeing this episode. Ray Mears is the best, I love how he doesn't go out of the way to make himself out to be a hardcore survival expert and just seems like a great guy.

What is interesting to me is the bladesmith forges "backwards" compared to what I have seen in print here in the USA. I think a couple of issues ago in Blade, there is a photo shoot of Mastersmith Jerry Fisk and he forges the tip of the bowie first, then the tang. Same for Mastersmith Wayne Goddard. His books show the forging of the blade first, then tang.

But this bladesmith forges in the harder piece of carbon steel, then goes to work on the tang, and finally cuts off enough steel to finish out a blade.... very interesting.

I wonder if there is enough interest to build a few knives like this?? I know I will have to try aleast one !!! :D

Thanks for the video!!!

That was a great video! Pretty inspirational too. His stick figure carving was funny.
