I've been looking around my kitchen, pantry, bedroom, dining table, and even my living room, and I've come to the realization that I just have too many kitchen knives. I mean, I know I'm a collector of sorts, but the sheer number of large kitchen knives in the house has just gotten way out of hand for the amount of storage space here. Plus, I have a wedding in 6 months that I need to save for. So, I'm going to make the majority of them available to my fellow forum members here.

I'm going to start big with just a couple of really nice ones: a Thomas Haslinger custom handmade chef knife and paring knife. These are both full custom, heavy duty kitchen knives with presentation grade desert ironwood scales and mosaic pins. They are among the most striking and attractive knives of their kind I have ever seen.

The chef knife is a monster, with a 15" overall length and a 10" blade of 1/8" thick S30V hardened up to RC 61. Pictures of the knife are by Thomas. Here are the specs:

Condition: Near mint, lightly used, sharpened once
Blade length: 9.75" cutting edge
Overall length: 15"
Blade thickness: 1/8"
Blade steel: S30V hardened to RC61
Balance point: 5/8" in front of where the handle meets the blade
Bolsters: None
Handle material: Presentation grade desert ironwood with mosaic pins
Tang: Full

The paring knife is also constructed very solidly, similar to the chef knife. It could even be used as a fixed blade EDC if you get a sheath constructed for it. The specs:

Condition: New
Blade length: 3 5/8" cutting edge
Overall length: 7 7/8"
Blade thickness: 1/8"
Blade steel: S30V hardened to RC 61
Bolsters: None
Handle material: Presentation grade desert ironwood with mosaic pins
Tang: Full
