I am about to recieve an Ocelot (wich I have always wanted) in a trade. What are your thoughts about this knife (other than the paw prints)? Just wondering what everyone thinks...Thanks!

It was a lot heavier than I thought it would be.My only concern is that gunk can get under the G10 through the paw prints. It looks pretty cooll though.

My friend at college has one, tells me the paw prints go over well with the ladies, which is a definitle plus in my book.

For me, the Ocelot has one of the most comfortable grips around. The knife is beautifully made and has good belly on the blade. I was so impressed that I bought two. ;)

I like it so much I bought a second one in case I lose the first. I like the ergonomics. I haven't had too much trouble with the paw prints picking up gunk, but I mostly pocket carry. Scrubbed it out well with a toothbrush once. I am impressed that the prints don't seem to get any rust spots.

I love the blade shape and the looks of the handle, but quite frankly, I'd prefer a Stretch (I or II) myself. Thin, flat ground blade, no paw-prints, and excellent ergonomics. If somebody gave me an Ocelot, though, I would complain not a bit. If the paws really bothered me once I got the knife, I'd send it on to STR or somebody who could put new scales on it.

Great Tim Wegner design .. Enjoy .. The paw tracks are very cool. I've got one in my EDC group that I've carried off and on for awhile.
