Those indispensable things we often live without

Ah Yes!...a voice of reason at last. Thank you...
I carry a folder and a cross-draw fixed on me all day/every day, but I am able to compensate if I am in my pj's and have no knife on my person.
I gotta say...we surely must have a bunch of decrepit old geezers on this forum... WOW!

Don't your pj's have pockets ?
Never seen a pair without, and unless I plan to be sleeping or it will be uncomfortable my hats on my head and there's a knife in my pocket, it's not always one with the aforementioned features but there's always one there.

In my daily life a pocket tool is a convenience, and not a necessity. I do keep a SAK Mini Champ on my key-ring, a Pioneer-X in my car, usually have an Alox Cadet in my bag, and there is an Alox Farmer hanging up on a hook in the kitchen at home, so there's usually one nearby when needed. :D

Yup! Leatherman Ps4 Squirts on every car keychain, and in many of the drawers in the house. Use those little suckers get used a crap-ton (pretty sure that's a technical term :D ).

Next would just be a second (or third) knife. But one I wouldn't cry over too bad if it got damaged, or worse. Beater for scraping, or prying, or.... . Yeah, I know, I'm bad to the bone.

I just want to have a sharp blade with me, almost always. I don't worry about having any other tools along with me. I've got tools at home, in my cars and if I'm really out in the woods I might have a camp knife with me.

I've had a knife in my pocket everyday since I was 7 years old. That's six decades. I won't go walk out the door without one, and in all likelihood there's one in my pocket when in I'm the house.

Works for me.

I'm going to have trouble sleeping tonight.

Oh the nightmares, the nightmares!
I was going to say the same. I'm trying to get the image out of my head right now.
I'm thinking about younger nudes in the other gender... Sorry, It works for me.
Let's all put our clothes back on and continue the discussion ..... :D

This thread needs pictures I suppose.

The driver / wire stripping blade on the electrician I mostly use for scraping , light prying, and occasionally turning screws.
The sheep's foot blade on a stockman is just a handy utility blade and great for boxes at work.
The driver on the 99 scout great for light prying and of course screws.
The awl I use for scribing lines in wood, and for scraping wood and scraping burrs and things from cut plastic or PVC.
The Vic drivers are great for screws but also light prying.

The prying I refer to would be at most paint cans, using more like lifting or gently prying covers off of things.
Pretty much the bare minimum of what can be considered prying is about as much as I use such things for.
Things a blade could safely do but don't because I never use them for anything but cutting.
