Those little scratches!!!

Is there any way to hand rub out those little scratches that always turn up on brass and SS guards and bolsters?
 
I think it adds character. But I'm sure you could polish them out if you really want to.

If they are light surface scratches, you might want to try Flitz polish. It is similar to Brasso, or Novus, but is a bit more porous and formulated for metal use.

It works really well at getting out surface scratches and giving a high-lustre polish.

Sometimes it works too well. If you use it too much, it may fade logos on blades, or will overpolish bead-blast finishes.
