Not likely to happen unless someone buys Bark River. Let's just say Mike Stewart has burned a lot of bridges in the knife industry.
And from what I've seen recently is still burning...

I'd like to see a custom option for most of the Becker line, not just the out of production/never produced (BK8) ones.
I, for one, would like to see a convex 1095 BK7 with orange G-10 and an H1 (or N690) BK14 for fishing and boating.
A person wouldn't have to twist my arm too much to take a Reinhardt Kuk or BK8, either.![]()
One thing I'll say... he can grind a helluva blade. But who knows what it's made out of?![]()
This is true- but the question is- how much would it cost in production? If each component was made in a decent amount it would be fairly inexpensive, and I think that it has the possibility of selling well.well, you could pay someone to do those mods.
similar works runs around $250 and up from some makers. would you pay that? KaBar knows most people won't even consider it, and thus, they won't do it.
KaBar does economy of scale. perfect a product, make lots of it, with good enough (perhaps better than good enough) materials, lots of it, sell at good price.
they kinda noticed the San Mais didn't sell, nor the BK10 special edition. the BK77 specials / blems sold FAST, because the price was outrageously good, but i don't see that happening again.

EDIT- think Buck custom shop or benchmade build-a-Grip.
