thought it was time to play...

myal, i will keep an eye out for those. something i might find in an antique shop?

barberfobic, i think i may have the same one...does it have a long clip, slightly hollow ground blade and "dymondwood" handle? i will have to hunt it up for a photo if i can. it was my main woods-blade for a long time, until i saved up enough cash for a mora...

that sounds like the one

rupestris, thanks, i made it meself. i always break the handles from the store, so i started making my own from nice clean maple.

barberfobic, yep that's the same one i have. i wrapped my handle with grip tape after i cut myself from slipping up onto the blade and i polished the whole blade so that the etch is barely visible. i pulled it out last night and made a few shavings...it worked fine. i found out that even my old "dull" edges from some time ago were plenty sharp...

tgiannes, its just for kicks...;)

pict,
was it like an armband with a sheath attached? or was the knife just tucked under it?

(i can't tell if you are joking or not...just in case you are serious, its nail paint)

It was an arm band with the knife tucked under it.

Nail paint... I guess 42 is old after all.

pict, thanks for the info. yesterday just for kicks i tied my mora to my arm above my bicep, it actually worked pretty well and was fairly convenient to get to (as long as i don't wear sleeves). i will see about a photo later...

by the way, as far as i know, guys have been doing it since the 80's.;)
