The trouble with shipping to some countries is that their postal service leaves a lot to improve on. I have had some nightmare problems with things not getting there.:mad:

I know it's a problem in places like Italy but our postal service is excellent and usualy much more reliable than private carriers. I've only had one item bounce back to USA and that was because sender did not give postcode (zip) and it went to a different town of same name

We can get grief from Customs (prohibited or restricted items) but their communication is usually pretty good and it's up to the importer to sort out.
 
I picked one up to see what all the hype was about and I wasn't all that impressed. The edge rolled when I tried to cut some soft wood, then I straightened the edge out and tried again... then it rolled and chipped out. The guys in the wilderness survival forum said that sometimes the heat treat isn't perfect and so sometimes you get a knife with a very soft edge and you have to remove a little steel to get to the "Good Stuff". It wasn't expensive so it wasn't a big loss... and I haven't yet sharpened it back to the "Good Stuff" yet so I can't comment on that. Most of the guys that get them say they're good little knives for the money... just be aware that they are mass produced and so you might get a lemon evey now and again. I'm sure 99% of them are fine little cutters... But the one I got was sure a disappointment.

Interesting you should say that...I have a carbon steel Frosts Clipper that rolled the edge when I dressed a deer with it. I think it rolled on the sternum or ribs. I steeled it and sharpened it up again, but I really haven't used it again since then.

I wonder if this problem is more common than I might have thought at first? Oddly enough, I have a stainless army model craftsman that I used to cut asphalt shingles that has held up very well under such abusive treatment....it looks like hell though!
 
Several people have posted on here about the original edge on a mora rolling or chipping. I believe that when they are mass ground a small part of the edge gets over heated on some of them creating these problems. Ive gotten around this on mine by giving them a good sharpening down to "new steel" when I get them. With a good coarse stone taking it down to where the original grind lines are almost gone usually is enough.--KV
 
Fine for cutting bait when fishing, little tasks. I carry one with me when I am working outside, on the water, or playing around in the garden. I have a Mora 2K on the way, I wouldn't put too much pressure on my Moras though.
 
I use a lot of Mora Blanks to make knives for my friends and family, I highly recommend the Laminated and plain Carbon blades.

I also just finished a 5" Frosts Sandvik 12c27 and it is a really nice blade. Then again it was 25$ instead of the more typical 10$ ones.

Mora makes great blades and great knifes.
I used to make some knife for fishing using mora blades il laminated steel and they work simply great. Also other baldes has a unique fetaure to be:
- not that pricey
- very performing.

But not use it for batoning, only for cutting they are superb.
