Thoughts and impressions if the new Micro/IBBB/Bawanna Bowie Good and bad.

Gotta disagree with you on that one. My Toyota has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. Had American and German ones before it and they all broke down more than this one.

I drink to that. Toyota is the HI of Cars.
There rest (with few exceptions) are wannabes who look nice and shiny, full of optional fragile features but don't have what it takes to last.

Here's a few pics of this weekends whittling and mess making contest. I was on a roll and from Friday night until now with a long interruption by a friend visit today managed to get two done so they can head right back home where their new owners sorely are missing them.

First the general mess.

The four victims, hmm patients.

The top one I did what is called a skip line pattern, mostly cause I didn't want any duplicates for the 3 mouseketeers. It's horn. I'm partial to the skip line myself, some don't care for it and I hope the recipient (Pugs) isn't one of them.

The second one is full coverage as the owner requested. 20 line per inch covering the pins and everything. Wood. Fingers double crossed that Ndogs dress is blown up around his neck with this one.

The 3rd one is mine. I just started scratching and really didn't have a plan. A diamond around the center pin just kind of worked out so I went with that. Same 20 LPI pattern, just left a diamond for a little bling I guess.

The 4th is left the way Bahkta made it for now. It's a gift awaiting to be given so I don't want to mess with it. If Pugs doesn't like skip line the line up might change, we shall officially call that plan B.

This checkering really in my small mind enhances the grip of these little beauties. Just a little more positive to hang on to. And I'm no doubt a little biased but it looks cool too.

Pugs and Ndog please let me know your opinion. Lets see for options we have.

1. I love it, send it home.
2. It sucks, find a tree and hang yourself.
3. For Pugs only. I hate skip line, swap me the gift one and do one of the other options to it tonight and mail it tomorrow, I'm tired of waiting or else.
4. Drop back and punt.

OOOOHHHHHH Man Bawanna you hit it into space with that, I absolutely love it, no joke, it is more than I thought it was, when you said skip line I was not sure what that was but damm dude that is sweet and WOW the checkering and the sheath, which now I have to cut down now cause how can you cover that up. Between Auntie the Kami's and our work we truly have a custom set. Thank you Bawanna and yes my dress is blown up around my neck, you sir are a master.

Ill take option no. 5.

5. Carve some little micro-camels walking around all them beautiful pyramids and then send it home! AHhh! Phooo just send it home! Man that looks awesome! Wonderful job! Im sending you a bottle of painkillers for your neck! Other than at Auntis that is probably the biggest gathering of Micros as there will ever be! Cool pics of the family! I do like the skip line! That is neat! Thanks Mr.B:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Ok, I'm checking my believer meter here, after all your momma says she loves you but she could be jiving too.

Ok, I believe you. I'm off to the shipping room to package these bad boys. It is rather cool to have 4 in front of you, a little mini bowie convention. I can only imagine the packages at aunties. I'd love to be her neighbor and helper. I'd probably have to work 200 hours a week just to make my knife bill but a half man can dream ya know.

Ndog, now you gotta an excuse for momma to let you buy another from the next batch so we can skip line it. I can't undo full coverage, I sometimes can undo skip line and make full coverage. Tell her it can be your sunday go to meetin / barbecue knife. If the truth don't work lie, ya know.

And Pugs, I'm not sure I can part with the mini triangle box. I'll try, really I will but its such a beautiful thing that little triangle box.

Keep it I made it for you :D no worries.

It seems your leather-bending skills also extend into cardboard-bending.

He did a wonderful job on that box. Somebody else here sent me something in a mini triangle box awhile back, it's in my collection. Don't recall who that was now, might have been Pugs on that one too, I'll have to look now that my curiosity is aroused.
OK, now I'm really off to the shipping room.

Sweet Mr. Tall. I'll put you down for Skip Line, would you like fries with that? Oh that was my last job, never mind.

Thanks all for the kind words. I've got a valve on my head, I'll let out a little pressure so I don't get a swelled head ya know?

They resemble patterns I've seen on chocolate. The color looks like chocolate too. Yummy.
Dangerous! Might wanna put a warning label on it.

The new Pugs leather suit is on duty for it's first official work day. It's looking fine, riding comfortable and the fit, well it's spot on. Rock solid. Holds perfectly. Almost makes me ashamed of the kydex I melted. It worked and it did the job but this, well this is magical.

The guys are gonna fall over when I get a chance to play a little show and tell later one. Most of them dig leather too. Not as much as me, they don't have as refined taste buds as I but close.

WOW... Bawanna, you did a really nice job on those handles! I personally would like to see #1 the skip pattern, with the diamond around the center pin, like in #3! That would be my choice.

That's doable. I hope my small brain don't melt down trying to remember all this stuff. I'll have to be very careful to make sure I do the right thing on each one.

I'd also like to point out that this is a hobby for me. I'm not advertising, want to keep it a hobby. While I guess I'm a service provider I don't want to be a paid service provider.
I do accept charitable contributions but it just struck me that it might be better yet to just send those contributions directly to Auntie to apply where she deems best. Kami Medical, or groceries at her house during slow times, don't matter to me. I'm just poor as can be, this way I can help Auntie some and you get a handle all checkered up for yourself.

Karda, Steely, Mods, this work for you guys. No set amount, just whatever they want to send. I don't want to get in trouble, kind of grown fond of this place. Not to say I'm not into a little rabble rousing now and again, I just don't want to get in trouble for it.

I definately was thinking the same thing as Cul4u01 I love the skip and would really like it with the diamond around the center peg. Think that would be really awesome looking. Or possibly to keep each unique make mine slightly smaller diamonds around each of the 3 pins with the skip pattern. LOL talk about getting complex figuring out line lengths and widths...

Oh Man! I just received a square box in the mail today and double Whammm! Pugs and Bawanna thats some good stuff right there! I got the one with the full checkering and it looks sharp! I dont know how you do that so perfect? And then slip fit in that beautiful black sheath and it just snaps in. Perfect fit! The checkering feels just right and the wood grain still shows through beautifully. Pugs you knocked this one out again as usual. I have to go buy me a belt now to sport this rig! All I can say is bombproof and beautiful! Bhakta made this blade from scrap truck springs and made a beautiful piece of functional art from Bawannas idea of an everyday carry blade you never have to put away (well unless you going into a federal courthouse or something). Then I wanted a personal touch from the man himself at one of the things he does best! Then to finish it off Mr Pugs agreed to make some fancy pants for my new baby to ride hi. That's what its all about! Thanks HI, Bawanna, and Pugs for something that truely is one of a kind! Definitely my favorite! More pics when the sun comes up!

That sheath is really a beautiful piece of work. The fit is as good as it gets. Perfect. These knives must be very very close as all 4 fit in the sheath equally well.
Mine spent its second full day by my side and I couldn't be happier.
