I lost my dad ten years ago. I still reach for the phone to tell him about something neat once in a while.

I'm really sorry to hear this news. My prayers and condolences are with you and your family.

My mom just passed last week... viewing and funeral are this weekend...its something we can never prepare for.
 
Aldo, I am sorry to hear of this sad news. Condolonces from my family to your's. My dad is still a big part of my life at 84 and I am fully aware that our days together are limited . You are in our thoughts and prayers. Paul

I lost mine in '99. I always said that on my BEST day, I wasn't 1/2 the man my Dad was on his WORST day.
Losing them takes away the foundation upon which we stand.
Remember all we were taught, and try to make them proud.

I'm really sorry man. There isn't much to say about this, but I've been there. I lost my dad when I was 21. He was a great guy, and I always hoped that if he knew the man I became, he'd be proud. I wasn't exactly on the right track before he died, but with each step I made in the right direction, I felt I somehow had his approval. Cherish the time you had with him.
 
Aldo, we lit a candle for you and are including you and your family in our prayers. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything, even if it is just to talk. I lost my father in 2000 and it still hurts. Me and the old man didn't see eye to eye all the time, but he was a good man and he loved his grandkids. I miss him so much. Take care, my friend.
