Thoughts...Micarta ever going the way of Resiprene?

Micarta 100% over G10 for users and all CG.
Wood and Bone for Custom shop work everytime!!!AAA+++

I like all the handle materials but i would love to have a resiprene handle on a batac, after i field dress a deer i leave my BAIII soaking in hyrdrogen peroxide to get the blood out of the micarta.

Something seems wrong there. Micarta doesn't soak things up. Someone (STR?) did some testing with various fluids and was unable to get any results. On the other hand, blood is pretty sticky stuff and peroxide makes a decent solvent.

The canvas fibers definitely can soak up some blood. I could see it in my DC Black GW after field dressing a deer. Most of it comes out though....you really have to look hard to see it (at least on black micarta).

Micarta for me:thumbup:

Any thing I own in G10 that is used gets real flat, shiny, and slippery after a couple years, but it looks great new.
