Thomas, I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but have you considered doing a Blade Forums Knife. I got the idea from the Traditional Folders forum. Think it would be pretty cool to get input from all the Kershaw guys around here and come up with a small sprint run just for us. Of course everyone would prepay so you would know exactly how many you would have to make. If thats not something very feasible for Kershaw at this time, no problem. Just thought I'd bring it up.
 
I talked to Thomas about this just before this forum started and he is considering it.

I say it should have SpeedSafe AO and Frame Lock. The rest can be open for debate.
 
I think something really cool along the Tyrade line of thought.........

I would be in for one or more if an A/O.....

hey i am game for a Kershaw BF knife! AO and studlock or frame lock would be my picks. composite blade with ZDP-189 and D2. nice recurve blade. Ti handles maybe? just my ideas
 
AO, studlock, composite blade, Ti handles or something wire EDM cut.
Although I guess for broader appeal I'd put up with a frame lock. ;)

Heck, I'd be happy with a special version of the Spec Bump or the Offset.

I'd concur with the stickiness of this thread.
Make sure it gets a little more readership and more opinions posted before it gets buried (especially if we have another crazy busy day on the forum like today).
Or maybe repost it with a poll?
 
I wouldn't sticky this thread. Maybe Thomas could post a sticky and see what kind of reaction it gets. If there is sufficiant intrest, make it happen. If not, oh well, it was worth a shot.
 
Maybe the thread isn't drawing as much interest as it should because it just says Kershaw BFK.

When I first read the title I thought, "sure, I'd love to see Kershaw make a Big F***ing Knife".

But a Blade Forum Knife sounds even better. :D

...though I still wouldn't mind seeing a Kershaw Big F***ing Knife.;)

i'd love to see a special edition knife for bladeforums.....i vote for a straight edge like a leek maybe....zdp-189 for the steel....fancy shmancy handle....maybe some cool burled wood or something.....like a nice gentleman's edc....ryan
 
What about ET with tritium inserts?

We already have a ZDP leek. Let's do a bigger knife like a Spec Bump or a Taboo.
 
jeremy....i just thought it would be cool to have a more custom handle on a leek.....i guess if you're gonna do it....you should go all out.....possibly refining or even changing an existing design....ryan
