Thoughts on asymmetrical liner locks (single liner)

If you plan on using bearings, you will need a hardened insert for the bearings to ride on for the G10 side.

That's what I was planning is using AKS washers and bearing system.
Alright so as long as the blade is centered by having 1 scale thinned out it should look great

Generally since I don’t really use my folders for fixed blade jobs I don’t have any issue with only one liner. I don’t really miss the extra stability lost by missing one liner, especially if the knife is built well enough that it doesn’t cause a flimsy knife.

Actually lately my favourite liner locks are the ones that use the stiffness of modern composites to make a super light knife with minimalist liners.

For example a one sided only linerlock with nested liner would be awesome. Better yet have the liner be as minimal as possible with alot of skeletonization.

I think we could see some really cool lightweight knives that take advantage of materials like carbon fibre’s ridgidity.

This is a .050 liner and I haven't thinned the scale to make them perfectly symmetrical.

That looks great!! It definitely improves the grip when both sides of the handle are even in my opinion. I have a Kershaw Skyline XL that isn't even on both sides and I think the ergos suffer because of it. I can't wait to see your finished product.
