Thoughts on buying Chinese knives

just realized how old the thread it, not much point arguing about a statement made 6 years ago. Much has changed indeed.
 
I have recently seen some pretty good knives coming from China. They are here to stay and have a few good products. I buy USA stuff when ever it makes sense to do so.

For me it always make sense to buy USA made product. I am bringing business to my countrymen, they bringing business to me. Trade with People's Republic of China looks like one way street now. They are not bringing much business here. To the best of my knowledge, mostly they buying in US: real estate, companies and government bonds. Is this what we want?
