Thoughts on new Juice design?

Functionally, these "new" MTs are really no different than the old ones. Its just the new look that I don't really dig.

I agree, I've got the original S2 in orange and I find it much more appealing than the new look. That being said, if TSA and our lovely government will ever let us carry again, I'd be willing to get a new model as long as the blade fit the requirement. (2.36” in length and .5” wide)

Yes they did. Even if they did not the new Juice blade would still be to large to carry on a plane. The law they where trying to pass to allow knives on planes again would basically only allow you to carry a 58mm Victorinox Classic. The allowed length was a bit larger than the blade on the classic but it was about the same. The 91mm Victorinox blade would have been to large to carry on a plane even if they did change the rules.

If the blade really is down to 2.25" the that does fall within the TSA regulation (2.36” in length and .5” wide). With those measurements and the other rules for the knife (no lock, no shaped handle, etc) the Case peanut would be allowed on!

I lost my 9 year old Juice S2 on vacation a couple of weeks ago. Made me sick.

I went online and ordered a Juice CS4. It is the blue old style.

I got it and it is fantastic. The screwdrivers on the S2 I had were a bit difficult to deploy. On this new one they swing out just fine.

One of the things I liked about my old Juice and this new one is that the blade is a moderate length. Not too short. I would not like the new style if that is the main change.

I like the smooth sides and the color all around.

I hope they keep the Juice product line around for a long time.

This is just a guess, but I think the "two tone" handles is a way to at least partly finesse the difference in thickness between the two, a frequent negative customer comment on the Juice line. That provides a subtle suggestion that there is some justification for the difference. Fiendishly clever of Tim, unless that wasn't the motive at all, in which case only my fiendishly paranoid fantasy.

I don't know, from what I picked up in the Shot Show vids is that they left one said plain for engraving.

I've have a 2014 juice s2 in granite grey and I love it! Better than the old ones. I think the old orange ones looked kind of toyish. But now they look stronger, and prettier at the same time! Man jewelry! Haha..

Also I like the blade. It's such a small handle to begin with that a little blade feels more natural and stronger. Plus I like that the cutting edge is flatter like a sheepsfoot.

A good reason I like the new scales is I can always tell which side is which, quickly. But yeah I think they look awesome. And this little tool is a beast for its size I love it.
