Hi there! I also was eyeing this knife for some times . I just had the opportunity to handle one in a dealer store, I dont own this and didnt try it out. So take my impressions for what they are: impressions. The knife is a sturdy medium-large sized folder and is on the heavy side. I mind about size and weight in folding knives. This is not an EDC piece. Truly big in the pocket. For me it belongs more to light utility hiking/camping tasks. Steel blade is N690Co, rather good for intended use. Solid back-lock. Very nice dark green micarta handle which feels nice into the hand offering a comfortable grip. Its really raw canvas, rough to the touch, looks to me it will get dirty and oily with use. The Gekko series are made in Italy , they are nicely finished knives. I am not sure, but it looks a lot like a Viper product. The one I handled looked good from fit & finish point of view, very sharp as well. I think, if you are looking for a primary tool this size for hiking/camping, the fixed-blade version may be worth investigating. I didnt go for it eventually, too big for my EDC uses.
