Thoughts on the " Besh Wedge" edge ?

The design is intuitive and makes sense (to me). No secondary bevel - I like it!
 
Since it isn't pointy, does that sacrifice any penetration ability? Seems like it would...but I could very well be wrong.
 
from the write ups and looking at it, yes, relative to a conventional dagger. But only until the dagger's tip breaks or bends, at which point the Besh Wedge has every advantage.

To me it's a great example of real world function and effect beating theoretical performance.

There are Besh Wedge daggers. Not a needle point, but a needle point has its own fragility problems, which the wedge does not. Penetration is not among a knife's finesse functions. The wedge's penetration sacrifice is negligible in this context.
