Thoughts on the iMamba

I like mine, no inlays. It's an early model, so the bearings aren't caged and the detent is right on the edge of 'soft'.

I don't have much experience with rwl34 but it sharpens up nicely and the knife is ground to cut. It obviously shares some design language with CRK, which is no bad thing. I'd kinda like to try one with a firmer detent and flipper delete. Good, useable knife, anyway.

I guess it's all moot anyway, as it will just come back again with use; and I've been carrying it daily for the past week, along with 2-3 others in different pockets. However, I do keep it in the right back pocket now, with nothing else to rub against it, unlike when it was in my front pocket and rubbing on the gips of my 357 Mag.

This outdoor pic from Saturday doesn't show the marks in that light, but they've been there for a few weeks.

I prefer to think of snail trails as signs of usefulness, as in the knife is not too pretty to actually use for EDC 😂

You won't regret it, I should have kept one of the two I had, I'm gonna pick up a mammoth tooth one one day!

hope you get it soon! this was one ive had my eyes on for some time and was surprised to see theyve did the cutout on the nail nick. glad to catch one of the older versions

My ultimate one would be a flipper on bearings, no cutout, stonewash blade with mammoth tooth.

i thought to myself how many titanium frame lock flippers do i need. i have one, a V.2 warrior liong mah that ive never even carried cause i got caught up in the craze when flipper tabs were first a thing. so plain jane non flippers on bearings for me. Also a nice happy medium between large and small sebenza according to the pictures.

My only iMamba is a fuller flipper on washers. Its action is so good on washer that I’m unlikely to ever swap the included bearings in. I probably should have gotten the desert ironwood version, but went with PJ instead. I do like my titanium.

It might be OCD'ish but when I use the knife I often HAVE to run my thumb over and over again on those tiny parts of the handle/lock-bar that AB left un-chamfered.
Why did they leave it like that?
It somehow seems to kinda bug me (but still in a not-bugging-me-at-all sort of way).

talking about ocd, the blade is high polished bud and I havent yet developed the muscle memory to smoothly open it without getting my fingers all over that blade
