Thoughts on the WE Vapor

Ive been trying to get one for a while - seems like an ideal edc. Love the look of the kitefin but find that 3.25” blade is just a little too long for my preference.

It's a very not big feeling and looking knife, for what it's worth

They carry "smaller"; than the specs say...

That's a very attractive knife. The interplay with the blue stitching in that shot is not lost on me.

I've had the gold version of this knife on my wish list since it came out. How does it feel in hand overall? If you get your thumb up on the spine, is the swedge comfortable?
 
They feel good in the paw. Getting my thumb on the spine presents some unique problems; I can't give you an answer...

Looked up both the Neutron and the Chaparral for kicks. I think I prefer the Kitefin purely from an aesthetics standpoint. That, and titanium is always nice...
 
Ah, thanks for the heads up, though I think I'm good for the regular versions at the moment. I ordered the 2001E, so my hunt for the Ltd. Edition would really be about both the collectability, and the nicer materials/styling.
 
The WE Vapor would've been my choice if I hadn't gone with the Wisp instead. The Wisp is essentially a "smoother" version of the Vapor without the hole. Awesome knives both! I still carry my Wisp from time to time and keep forgetting how thin the blade is on that one. If you're looking to spend what you said on the Vapor, definitely check out the offerings from WE and Civivi. I've been eyeing the Smooth Sentinel, among others.

I managed to snag a We Vapor from eBay for $150 and just got it in the mail yesterday. It's an awesome little knife and exactly what I hoped it would be. It's extremely comfortable in-hand, the blade shape is ideal, and looks better in person than pics. The detent on mine is a little stiffer than I'd prefer, but that may work itself out with time or adjustment. The kite fin looks like a great knife too but I knew if I didn't at least try the Vapor I'd still have the itch. If you find yourself in a similar spot don't hesitate to pick one up, it's a winner.

The detent on mine is also a bit... stiff. But that just makes it "snappier"!
