Looks pretty cool. The pic would look better if you outlined it in a marker of some sort.
Not a bad looking design for EDC.
What kind of steel will you use for the blade?
Looks like a "Stryderco"
I like it!
Will that be a full flat or a hollow grind? I would vote for a hybrid of the 2. Make it a flat grind, then just go ahead and have a gentle hollow grind in there. Small swedge at the back of the spine. Very cool.
It could be a cross between the grind on a Gayle Bradley and the American lawman. Everyone seems to love the flat grind for slicing, but a well done hollow grind seems to perform very well too.I was thinking full flat, but a hybrid sounds interesting. How would the two compare in slicing? I'm still kind of undecided about the swedge right now.

Are there any knives out there with this kind of grind on them? It sounds like it would slice better than just an FFG.
Very cool looking knife. It's kinda hard to see the dimensions however...is that a 4" handle with a 3-3/4" blade? If so, I think you're going to have a tough time fitting that blade in that handle.
Not that I am aware of. I have a profile in mind, but nothing that I've really seen. Look at the blade on a Spyderco Leafstorm but imagine a not-so-deep hollow grind, something almost flat - but still retains that concave form.
Things will pick upIt seems like it would slice really well. I might put that in when I have it made, but that'll take a while. No job, no money :grumpy:.
Things will pick upKeep designing, draw up another 2-3 then go back and look at your first one. You will want to improve something or another on it.
As do I. But to be perfectly honest...its not going to work. Fitting a 3.75" blade in a 4" handle is asking for too much. You have to remember about the tang....It seems like it would fit. I just like having as close to a 1:1 blade:handle ratio as possible.

Draw the guts. Model it in cad. Build a balsa prototype.
It's a great drawing, but you can't stop now.
