Thougts on the 11-11

Thanks for the review and subsequent comments. I've been on the fence about needing the 1111 when my 1311 has been performing so well, but this has me thinking about a CHOPPER :D

Brilliant review Flux, and thanks to the other guys for adding up to the discussion.

I get it quite easily as being a chopper, hence the NMFBM comparison, but when I read your review, I couldn´t help but thinking, this might be the only knife a camper or anyone in service will ever need, it is long enough to be a small machete, it certainly is a chopper and, batoning with it would be easy, and I can deal with a long knife to do more mundane tasks with (I´ve done it with the RTAK II at least) so this could be the true do it all knife.

But, Can you swing it comfortably to use it to clear branches for a while...as a small machete? (doing that with the NMFBM is not that comfortable in the long run..) and if the 1111 can do it...boy that would be the paragon of the outdoors knife...finally...the search would be over.

Thanks for the comment.

I thought that I wanted one of these..... Now I need one !!!! Hey Dan please make my dream a reality.

I beat on the 11-11 this weekend and it truly is a chopper. Ignore the sweat drop on the 13-11, it was hot out there.

Did a little damage to the 13-11 too. Nothing a little sharpening won't fix.

Threw the ax for the heck of it.
