Ok, I checked the log and it says that Cougar closed it. This has been a glitch for some time now. It seems that threads have been automatically closed for some reason. I opened the thread and closed it and then opened it again just to make sure it wasn't a problem with every mod. It seems that it only happens when Cougar posts in a thread. I'm not sure why this is. The thread is now open.

This is embarrassing. All I can say is as a rule we don't close a thread without posting some explanation -- I never do. So if you see a thread that's closed and doesn't have a post from a moderator explaining why please let me know.
