Welp,

At the urging by many members of this forum by email, and my own thoughts that it was bad for everybody involved, I deleted the controversial threads -- gonzo.

Back to forum business.

Back to real life, and important stuff, for all of us.

If get fired as moderator, so be it. But, as moderator, I feel it's my responsibility to keep this forum on track with the subject matter intended: wilderness skills discussion. Any other discussion need not apply here.

Brian.

Brian, this shouldn't reflect negatively on you as a moderator. This is a survival forum, and I'm glad you helped it stay that way.

Thanks for keeping the forum focused on wilderness skills and survival.

Keep up the good work!
Eric

Hi Brian,

Best Scouting wishes from Holland,

glad you took this stuff off the forum, if you want to snipe at someone go somewhere where people ar interested in that kind of behavior, enough of this off topic bull, most of which is just malicious gossiping.

This is so intriguing! Alas I missed the thread and now curiosity is driving me nuts.
Are you allowed to hint at the content or was it totally out of order? Though I'll understand if it has to stay off forum, just wish I'd seen it. Must visit more frequently.

I realize ou're curious zardoz...this stuff intrigues us all like slowing down to see a car accident on the road. Morbid curiosity.

But, no, if we wanted to rehash it, the thread would still be there.

Understand? :D

Hope so. Can't help ya.

~B.

Too bad the moderators on the Blade Discussion forum don't share your noble thoughts. They left Jeff Randall's rant go on for far too long.

There were no innocents in the recent fracas (plural) here.

I disagree with deleting the threads.

I found them to be enlightening regarding the character and personalities of the principals involved.

It was proper to lock tham and throw away the key. A warning should have been posted and locked stating that no further posts on the subject could be posted here. They can throw spitballs at each other elsewhere, but not on this forum....it would be proper to remove any subsequent malignant and off topic posts.

They should have been left as a permanent record of an individuals words so others can decide by the merits of an individuals posts whether or not they want to do business with them or even listen to what they have to say.
