Three best old school Steven Seigal movies?

Favorite ass-whipping scene is when he goes into a pool hall without a weapon and improvises with a pool ball wrapped up in a light weight towel... Nice ...
This scene also featured a cameo appearance by Guro Dan Inosanto, a brief stick fighting sequence with pool cues. Guro Inosanto went easy on him...;)

IMO you have to check your brain at the door with Segal movies :barf:

While I like "Under Siege"--one of them has Mad Dog knives in the last fight scene--I have to rank "Above the Law" as best. Great, innovative fight scenes, a great looking (pre annoying diva period) Sharon Stone and Pam Grier, and a whacked but interesting plot line featuring the excellent Henry Silva as the CIA bad guy Zagon.

The Chicago street scenes and secondary characters are reminiscent of "Code of Silence", one of the best Norris movies, too, also featuring Silva as a bad guy. Not surprising as Andrew Davis directed both, plus "Under Siege".

IMDB says there's an Under Siege 3 in the works, too:

Yeah, that was Guro Dan who played the short role as "Sticks". Bad hairpiece! :o

But Out For Justice was my favorite. Many of the takes were shot right in my neighborhood! Gino- "Anybody seen Richie!?!" :D

SilentHunter - On Deadly Ground is a movie past his prime and it sucks the big one - one of the ones I refer to as his Fat Elvis period. In that one, he's long in the tooth and of bigger girth. Check out some of the ones posted in this thread that others liked. Better stories and some great ass-kicking. True, the story sometimes blows, but so does the story that goes along with pornography.

I admit that whenever one of his old movies comes on TV, I inevitably watch it. But renting them is worth it if you want to excise the commercials and also see the extreme images that the networks trim away. Sometimes, you can be lucky and see them on a movie channel that shows all. Those extreme images are the money-shot in these fliks. And the cussing adds some grit.

Boink, Segal just reminds me of Jim Belushi on speed. Hell, I'd be even more afraid of Jim Belushi than Segal, Belushi had the dog. I will check out Under Fire or whatever its called. Under Siege.

Great choice! If it's a rental, you get to see Erika Eleniak's assets waving in all their glory! Plus stuff like a perp getting bent over and pushed into a bandsaw and get his collarbone cut in two. Great stuff!

:D
