Three cheers for Himalayan Imports and Bladeforums

This is a great forum. I also love FlyerTalk. (shameless plug: I don't own it, I just volunteer moderate a few forums, and if you are traveling and/or like frequent flyer miles that is the best and nicest resource on the web.)

I spend most of my forum time on HI here now or on FlyerTalk. Thanks for having me here and being so kind to me.

Kis - the forum's great and all....but it's not BTS

Thanks Dan! There is another forum I frequent for discussions about my car, and they are a good bunch of guys there, but you can't let down the same way you can here, to the same extent.

My wife kids me because I mention "Uncle Bill" so much that she is starting to think he is a distant relative that I just haven't seen much for the past 20 years! Or I'll say "Yvsa has a belt sander and I'm thinking about getting one too", and she'll ask about Yvsa as if he lives right next door.

Well I guess in a way he _does_ live right next door, and so do all the rest of you. It's just that we see each other at the Cantina! :)

Great place, and I'm fortunate that I found it when I did. Otherwise all my bills would be paid off and I would have no reason to work. Hey, wait a minute!

I don't post often, but I read almost every thread here on a daily basis. The HI forum is one of my favorite places!

I too lurk much more than I post, but I'm very pleased to rub shoulders with such an interesting, diverse group of people. The knowledge I've acquired here has been tremendous. Three cheers!

Yup, I think yer spot on with yer perceptions. I think that's the number one thing I love about this forum, is the tremendously high ratio of knowledge to "Rah! Rah! tactical tough guy syndrome."

It's really nice to have a forum, blades, and people that don't need product endorsements from Navy Seals or Special Forces to sleep at night.

Overall, throughout the years I've had very little to say on the Forums here, and I picture myself as more of a non-commital drifter than being particularly dedicated to any one forum, but....I have noticed, I've been drifting to this corner of the internet more and more often these days.

The HI forum has been my most frequented site on the net since I found the different knife forums back in 2000. It has been five years now and it is still my favorite place. Good conversation with good people and tons of information on khuks, knives and life in general. This forum seems to stay a little more friendly than a lot of other places where people tend to take themselves to seriously. The people here have learned that you have to be able to laugh at yourself to full appreciate the humor of the world all around you. I will be here for many more moons. Thanks to all that have made the journey so much fun. :D

I post often and never as a rule have anything to contribute but I get to hear myself blabber and I am glad to be here in the HI forum, doing so.

I might also add that the boorish and condescending attitudes so prevalent on other forums are almost entirely absent here. Here's a cheer to keeping it that way: Hip Hip Hoorah!
