I have made a few of these over the years mostly because it is a little unusual and fun to make. It looks ungainly but it is very comfortable in the hand and with the index finger in the large choil, the knife is very easy to control.

Good to see you putting more knives up for sale. I really like the old school scales on this one. Any chance you could post a picture of this knife in-hand to get an idea of how it sits?

Here are a couple of 'em Queso. This is really a very comfortable using knife. I just sold one to a customer today. He was undecided about his choice of knives until he held this style in his hand. Nice low center of gravity makes it position itself ready for use with the blade in a natural lay in the hand. If you are interested I am willing to let you return the knife and I will pay the postage back if it is not one of the most comfortable knives you have ever held. Let me know.
Gerry

PS Sorry for the dirty hands; I have been working with epoxi to day.

Always good to see all five fingers on the hand of a custom knifemaker. This is a great little knife - I really like the bone handle. Wonderful craftsmanship, too (as usual for GL Drew).

Per the emails we exchanged earlier, I will be buying another one of your knives instead of this beauty.

Gents, this one is still for sale...

That looks like a good candidate for in pocket carry.
How thick is the handle at the end?

A little less than 3/4 inch Dino. I could fix you up with a wallet size scabbard without a belt loop on this one if you would want to carry it in your back pocket.

Yesterday was a very craptacular day until I got home. The wife said I had a package!:D

Fit and finish is superb. There is about a dozen ways to position this knife in hand. It's very versatile. The knife is also a natural in a reverse grip. I think it's due to the upswept blade being in line with the thumb. It stabs from this position quickly and accurately.

The large belly also works well with what I call "The Scorpion Rock". These nasty little guys get in the house and can be hard to kill before they run off. I like to place the blade tip in front of them and just rock the knife over their heads splitting them in half.

Another plus is that the knife will balance on it's spine, blade facing upward. It can be set down this way keeping the blade flats from lying on the cutting board, table, sand, etc..

The sheath is pure awesome. Gerry made it with a clip instead of a belt loop for me. It fits perfect in the back pocket of my jeans. I can't even tell it's there. At work it slips into the front pocket of my dress pants and is not visible. Around the house I can clip it to the pocket of my sweat pants, shorts, or overalls. I'll try to post some pictures later.

I've had the knife for less than 24 hours, but it seems like a real winner!
