Just got these three knives from knifemaker MARK HAZEN of North Carolina. To make a long story long...
I bought some blades over a year ago on EBAY that were made by Mark. I contacted Mark to get some info on them. Turns out they were stolen along with another 8 while in transit to/from the heat treating. At Mark's request, I bought the other 7 that the seller had available (he was not involved with the theft) and sent them all to Mark. He offered to make me a few knives in exchange for the blades. I've had two other knives made by Mark so I knew the quality of his work and it was excellent.
After waiting and pestering him for over a year for the knives he promised me, they came this weekend.
Let me leave it as this... they are nowhere near the quality I expected. I waited so long for them and I was pretty disappointed. These truly not collector pieces, they are users. Therefore, the very low price... about 1/3 what he would charge for them.
Brand new, never used, all come with leather belt sheaths made by Mark.
All are ATS-34 with stainless bolts.
Bottom two have guards made with 303 stainless and are silver-soldered to the tang.
False edge on top are sharpened on all three.
Prices shown do not include shipping.
PAYPAL ok, but you pay the fee...
or take all 3 for $350
Always interested in trades for handmade folders...
