Three months ago I decided to downsize and consolidate my growing knife stash, sell more, buy less

Here's some advice that helped me....

I bought so many knives and it took a while to figure out what I liked and what I didn't, what was useful and what wasn't, which knives did I actually use?

Now I know more about what I want in a knife. I know which blades I like to fulfil a certain role. If I had known all this when I started I probably wouldn't have accumulated such a pile of knives I barely use. How many 12" drop point choppers do you need? How many 3.5 inch utility folders do we need? (Never enough)

You should consider your collection for which blades, steels and styles you seldom use. Of course if sitting in a safe to be occasionally fondled is useful to you then more power to you!

Yeah the air fair is crazy but I really like the fishing...I have made enough selling fresh catch of the day to some local corner grocery stores and restaurants to usually pay for the flights. And the Charters cover fuel and overhead expenses.
Good Thing I'm retired so I don't have to call in sick to go fishing....
Oh and I still have my day Job here in NM making Knives when I ain't "Gone Fishin'"

Heck, that all makes perfect sense to me (but then, you have to consider the source. :D)

Wow, a 53' Hatteras--what a nice sport fishing ride. Kudos to you for going for it! :thumbsup:

(Although, I kinda doubt foregoing a Busse or two will put much of a dent in your budget! :p:D)

you just can't make this stuff up LOLOLOLO!!! - I did the boat thing once, bought it new sold it used and only cost me 20 grand to own it 5 years and thought I did good LOL! could've hired a lot of charters and had my fish cleaned ;)

I couldn't get a permit to put a boat that size on Bonita Lake:eek::rolleyes:

Yeah I made all this money and I figured the last Check I write will be the one that Bounces...So why not enjoy Fishing in Hawaii..
It would be different if I didn't have family there for sure. I have lost count of how many Busse's I have maybe I should check that out in the future....NAW....I get some new stuff and beat the old stuff move a few to friends...You know JUST ONE MORE NO REGRETS!!! So when are the HOGB8's gonna land...C'mon Bossman:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Going Charter fishing got me hooked years ago...17 day Wahoo Trips out of San Diego down to Mexican waters. I figured why not just get a BIG Boat and start our own charters?!!

Anyone who starts of a thread with "I decided to downsize" ... I mean, it's a cry for help right? and you know how your friends are, you pull that with them and they're looking for heavy objects to weigh you down so you sink to the bottom real fast cause, that's what friends do right :p
 
LOL oh my goodness I dying, pun intended, off the rails and down the side of the mountain we go... enjoy the ride they said!

Anyways on a side note, anyone heard why OJ is getting paroled in time for Thanksgiving? ;):D
