Oh boy! I love all three of these!:thumbup: I'll have to go with the 101 Drop point first. I love my clip point.

Think non-coated Small Brahma in a 119 phenolic handle.

Brahma > Small Brahma
118 > 117

OH MAN!!! (drool, drool, drool) A 117 will be coming home to Daddy ASAP!

Now, where can I find one?

Thank you for the link, sportingspecialist. I'll look into that. I've always liked the blade style of the 119, but find it to be too big overall for my tastes. The 117 is very appealing, reminiscent of my Dad's old Western brand sheath knife from the 1950's.
That's a story in itself. My dad gave the knife to me in 1970. The snap on the keeper strap was broken, but typical for a 12 year old kid, I carried it anyway, and soon lost it. I assumed I lost the knife in the woods behind the house, where I spent most of my after-school time. I was always looking for it, but no luck. In 2001, my 12 year old son found it in the back yard. After 31 years of exposure, it was rusted beyond repair, but I treasure it. My son, Josh, was rewarded with a new Buck Woodsman.;)

You're welcome.

Interesting story,thanks for sharing.

I like the looks of the 117 as well.My only concern is the handle. Is it long enough for my hand? As much as I like the 102,I find the handle a little short for my hand.

Based on the picture (hard to tell) it looks to be 4 to 4 1/4 inches long.

I believe you're correct.I was more concerned with the diameter of the handle. The handle on the 102 is very small in diameter and feels more like a child's knife.

I believe, based upon the advertised dimensions, that the handle on the 117 will be of adequate diameter.

Yes this is a 4 1/2" blade with a 105 handle. The 102 was much to small for this blade.
