Three New Shiva Ki Knives

Just received three new Shiva Ki blades. Small Spirt blade, Super Merc, and Samurai Spirit blade. All three have ironwood handles with great fit and finish. I especially like the Samurai Spirt. The grain in the steel is extrodinary! Very heavy blade! These knives are super sharp.

I will probably carry the one in the middle some. Doubt it will get much use. I really love that one! He really did a great job carving the ironwood handle on the big Merc too. Thanks everyone for all the nice comments!!! I know there arn't many fans of Shiva Ki in the Forums. I like his knives.
 
hi....did you get all of the blades directly from shiva ki.....i have always wondered about his knives but was holding back due to all of the stuff i have read about him.....thanks
 
Yes, I got all three from Shiva. He was very freindly and emailed me often with respect to the progress he was making. He made suggestions on the cornstruction of the knives to me during the process and even sent me photos the day they were finished before he shipped them. I am very happy with the knives and have no complaints about his personality. He is outspoken and believes what he believes but his blades are exceptional!
I will try and I will try to take some more photos of the blade tonight.
 
Great score Bhauer. I really love the large mercenary. Mind if I ask how long it took to get the knives from the time you placed the order? Those are so sweet. Cheers Art

Are the clip points of those knives sharpened?
 
It only took about 5 weeks I think from the time I ordered them. He had all three blades roughed out when first emailed him and I think he is usually working on several. It might take a little longer if you want something special ordered. I was lucky he was making the Samurai Spirit blade for himself and said he would sell me that one. He was working on one Merc for me and didnt like the way it was turning out so he switched mid-stream and finished the one you see pictured.
The big merc at the top is the only one that has has the clip point top egde sharpend. Thanks for the comments and questions! Glad to answer anything I can.
 
I hope this isnt too rude of me to ask. But how much did the Super Merc set you back? I've always wanted one, and the one you got is just making my mouth water. Hope you dont mind the personal question. Cheers Art
