Here is my classic drop point hunter in O1 tool steel. These are for hard use, from 5/32 stock and micarta handles. This is a little thicker than my A2 drop point and from a true tool steel. With a micarta handle this knife is made for hard use time and time again. Great for work, camping, hunting.. save wear and tear on the collectable. Large long handle for comfort and grip, over 4" long, my hand is pretty big and you an see the fit. Nicely contoured for comfortable use.

Knife is 8 1/2" overall, blade is 4". Width is 1 3/8" at widest point. Razor sharp ready to work. Sheath is Kydex with belt clip. Makes for nearly indestructable pair.

First on left is green (translucent) linen micarta with loveless style stainless bolts. Center is Black Canvas Micarta with Colby Bolts, Right is Black Linen micarta with Colby Bolts. (Canvas micarta has a little more grain if you look closely)

Price is $100.00 included shipping to U.S. and sheath. all sold thanks for the comments, purchases

These look great! When did you start kydex? My knife is still sharp as heck and one of my favs.

I have been making kydex for a little while for customer who are mostly hunters. They like the idea that it will not get wet. The pouch sheath is very popular as well.

I did my own heat treat on these. They are tempered to about Rc60. I have 8 , 3 are sold, one I may keep for my self and three are here and the poor eighth was destructive tested. When I heat treat I will at least put in a piece of steel to test, but I also test a full knife as well. I pick the ugly of the batch, put a cheap handle on it and..

I sharpened to hair spilitting sharp, tried to crack the edge on a brasss rod, could not. Cut some paper, cardboard then cut 100 cuts of 1/2" rope. Tried to break the tip by drilling a hole in a old 2x4, could not break tip. put the tip in the vice and snapped it off, put next 1" in vice took quite a bit to bend then break, put in vice about middle of the blade, I could not bend far enough to to break so I got a bar and bent about 90 degrees before it broke. The edge still did not crack. Grain was very fine and the blade performed well.

I must say that's a great knife and sheath design. Sure looks like the knife and sheath show nice craftsmanship

will you ship USPS snail mail to BC Canada? i will of course pay the shipping. If no to Canada shipping, i can give my uncles address and he can ship to me from the US. take Money Orders?

If so i call dibsies on the green scaled knife!

Green micarta going to new home in Canada, as quickly as a snail can carry. Email you shipping address and I will get a cost. MO will be fine, but I do paypal as well.

I will agree with this! I was lucky enough to score the green translucent handle blade, and it is one tough blade. This is my first knife with O1 tool steel (i think....i might have another...) I'm pretty dang impressed. Thank Pat!

PS, email sent regarding another project.... ;)

I'll second that! I scored the Black linen! Its also my first O1 tool steel knife. I bring this knife regularly to the range and have been beating the crap out of it and its still sharp as hell! I am very pleased with this knife. Thanks Pat you are a true craftsman.

Thanks really appreciate the comments, I love the fact that you are betting the crap out of it.. There are customers to remain unamed who have put the same knife in a glass case on their mantel.

^ OH THE HORROR!

< faints

Use it or lose it!

PS Patrick, got your email, that other one is a VERY nice blade, but i'm sticking to my guns and holding out for one like i described :) (same green scales, same blade shape/thickness etc, but with a blade length of 14")
