It's no secret that I have way too many neck knives, this afternoon I started thinking about the ones that I usually grab the most often. For me depending on the job at hand and what I feel like that day, I always come back to one of these three knives it seems. The Becker Necker BK11, MicroTech Manus, and the Benchmade 160 Tether. Everybody has heard of the BK11, but not everyone has heard of the 160 Tether, or the Manus. They are both GREAT neck knives, and although the Tether is no longer made, the Manus is still available. Anyways, I just thought I would share my thoughts on neckers with ya'll again. I also thought this thread wouldn't be complete without a comparison picture of the three knives in question...Here ya go...

Nice blades! Love that Microtech Manus, that is an awesome looking knife! Thanks for sharing! :)

Ive been thinking about getting a Manus. How does it handle? How comfortable is the sheath for neck knife duty?

Thanks for the pics!

The Manus is the newest one of the bunch, and I LOVE it! The sheath is probably the best of the lot of them for daily wear as a true neck knife. If you are into neck knives I would highly suggest a Manus in D2 steel.

Nice collection, The Becker is my favorite blade in that picture.

Great thread Tolly thanks for sharing because I was considering buying my first neck knife soon (actually I have the CRKT Triumph N.E.C.K. but i really don't like it much). How about including a pic or two with the knives sheathed and around the neck to get a better visual of their size against the body? Thanks!

I want a Manus... NOW! Thanks Tolly. I appreciate the feedback. The manus is quite a looker and if it handles as good as it looks, thats awesome.

Do you have any pictures of the sheaths? Do you generally carry them as a true neck knife? I've been thinking of getting a small fixed blade to carry on occasion, probably in pocket for general utility. What do you think of the manus for such a role?

I carry the Manus both as a true neck knife and as a pocket carry knife. I had a little leather sheath made for mine and it drops down in my pocket nicely. When carrying that way I put a short leash on it so it is easy to grab...works great.

I will try and post up some sheath pictures.

Been thinking about the Manus and would also like to see some photos when you can. Thanks!

I have the Buck Hartsook...really like it. I recently bought a CRKT Dogfish as well...a nice little knife to carry on the weekends...mostly because I can open my beer bottle with it...lol.

For some reason, I didn't take a pic with it in the sheath, but here's the Manus with its sheath.
