Three Sisters Forge?

That looks very different from my beast. Mine I bought in 2014.

In looking at the website, it appears they changed pivot screws design since then.

Not only is the butt rounded on yours, but a lanyard hole was added, the lockbar cutout was expanded too.

It's definitely newer than mine, so I'm guessing it's CPM-S35VN. That's what mine is.

I had to order mine direct from Jim.

It looks like they are still working on the website, but there is a contract us link.

Thanks for the feedback. For some reason I thought this might be a very early version of the Beast, but sounds like it’s post-2014. I didn’t even notice that normal Beasts were missing the lanyard hole.

Besides the contact form online, you could send them a message in Facebook if you want more info. Here's a pic of mine.

It's my "hard use" folder. Actually, this thread has convinced me to carry it tomorrow.

Lately I'd been carrying the usual suspects:

Bailey model 2 geek edition
Spyderco Yo2, Manix 2 CTS-XHP, and Domino
Massdrop Ferrum Forge Gent select

I have had a cct on order for two years , i dont think they are making many knives . I bought beast from jim and its a decent knife . Little or no response from them . I am not optimistic.

I just bought this Three Sisters Forge Beast from eBay from a seller that didn't have much information on it. Can anyone assist with a year/blade steel identification?

This particular knife has 2 unusual customizations: a rounded butt, and a thumb ramp on the handle leading to the thumb stud.

Question for owners of Three Sisters Forge knives:
Have you had any recent customer service issues? I reached out via Jim’s old knives@threesistersforge.com email; but haven’t heard back. Their website is still up, but theyonly seem to have a single item in stock, and a few pages (FAQ/About Us/Repair Service) have no content, which is a bummer since so many of the testimonials from owners talk about Jim's fantastic customer service and communication. Thanks in advance for any info.

If I am not mistaken, Jim did a few Beasts with the round butt (you had to specifically ask for it). The cut out near the thumb stud might have been done by the previous owner.

I got my beast directly from Jim a few years back and he was very quick to reply to my emails. I know he has since sold or partnered with another company that make his knives. I heard that he still adds input on the design but I think the company he partnered with handles most of the business. That’s probably why the customer service isn’t so great anymore.

Big bummer that the new owners haven’t kept up with Jim’s customer service standards. The stories are almost legendary. I’d love to add a CCT to my collection, but not willing to wait 2 years. They don’t show up on the secondary market often either.

I just received the Beast from my earlier post (see above), and while going through Instagram hashtags, ended up finding a post from a former owner of my knife:

We PMd back and forth, and I found out he was the 2nd, possibly 3rd owner, and that the previous owner had done the mods (rounded butt, lanyard holes, jimped blade and a rainbow ano). Everything was done well, no sharp edges. Since he sold it in 2018, it looks like it’s exchanged hands 2x before getting to me, and at some point was sent back to TSF for a spa treatment, at which point it got an updated pivot screw. Looking forward to sharpening this guy and putting him to work. He’s had a long & eventful life!
