three sisters forge

I've only heard good things about them, all second hand though; seems like a really good strong manufacturer, I don't really understand the reason he isn't more popular with the average beefy knife guys but his customers seem more niche for some reason.

I tried contacting him once about making me a custom flipper before but he wasn't interested due to legal concerns; seems like a stand up guy though.

I ordered one of the latest batch of Beast folders around a month ago, and it should be ready sometime within the next week or so.

Obviously, I don't have the knife yet, but everything about the process so far (communication, progress updates/pictures, a "no payment required until your knife is ready" policy, etc.) has been exemplary, which is in line with the uniformly positive things I've heard about TSF. I'll post some quick impressions on the knife itself in this thread once I have it in hand.

JIm at Three Sisters Forge is a stand up guy! I have a modified Beast with the small(thinner) blade and it is great! I have been carrying it since June as an EDC and it has served me well. He is a one man show and hand builds all the folders himself. I think my knife came from a batch where he used his first
endmill :) Now, it's not a Sebie in the fit and finish department, but it is a tough work knife with a lot of character.

Stand up guy all the way around, very very nice folder that will not ever let you down, highly recommended.

While I don't own one or had the pleasure of using a Three Sisters, I have handled and worked on three and was impressed by each knife. They are robust, simple hard use folders. All of them took a killer edge too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

I've bought three knives from Jim at Three Sisters and had no problems whatsoever with his service.
One knife serviced a year long overland expedition from Hong Kong to Portugal via Mongolia, Russia, Europe and is still going strong.
Thoroughly pleasant to deal with, he posted one of the knives before I had paid him.

Another fan of jim and his products here. Ive been edc'ing one of his CCT folders - quality stuff.

I have one of his 1095 Kiradashi's. Beautiful Hamon and polish, amazing edge...excellent balance and weight. Great craftsmanship!

I just got my Beast from Jim today. It was a very good buying experience.Jim was spot on with communication, pricing & shipped it fast with tracking.I would definitely deal with him again.

I had a couple of small issues with F&F on my Beast.I emailed Jim about it.He immediately contacted me offering to pay shipping both ways.
Here's the best part-The day he got it,he fixed the problem & shipped it back the SAME DAY.The whole thing took like 6 biz days, shipping from NJ to OR.
Jim went above & beyond what I expected. He made me feel that he wouldn't be happy unless I was completely satisfied with my purchase. From my experience, customer service like this is very rare in any business.

Thanks a lot Jim,You're a credit to the community.:thumbup::cool:

Just barely got a Three Sisters' "traditional Japanese hunting knife" through the secondary market. Looks gorgeous and is built like a tank, very unique and probably will last me a lifetime.
