This knife REALLY is impressive.

This fine ROCKSTAR folder is an early production knife, from Jim Burke in about 2008, an exact copy of an earlier, now retired, limited-production custom knife. The swedge grind, coupled with the wide blade, gives the Rockstar a distinctive “pocket Bowie” appearance. This is a very smooth nice folder in CPM154; excellent blade-steel. 3.165" tip to grips; 3.10" sharp blade edge. 7 5/8" open length with lanyard hole.

NO-STICKINESS in the lock at all; opens with authority. The CPM154 blade is 0.130" thick with very grippy jimping, full titanium framelock (both scales). The pivot construction is Teflon-washer based, while blade lock-up is accomplished using the Bob Terzuola designed “safety lock.” The lockup is ROCK-SOLID (very darned impressive) with no blade wiggle; no lock-rock even with the locking bar depressed. Once the lockbar is unlocked, the blade falls free...just like a well-tuned CRK. Blade is perfectly centered, with nicely-scalloped titanium backspacer.

Here is one pic of the folder to show the "factory" light blue anodizing, achieved by passing a current through them while they are submerged in a chemical solution. The thickness of the oxidized layer that builds up on the titanium is responsible for the resulting color. The light-blue color that is produced is the direct result of how the light is refracted through the oxide layer.

Here is a link to an early article about his custom and production folders:

Here are pics I took. Just click on one of them, and then navigate using arrows on either side of pic.

You cannot help but like this folder. I've had a lot of them...and this one is particularly impressive in many ways. I've LOWERED the price.
