This is so cool. I have been here for sometime and never even noticed this forum. I have been throwing these knives for 8 to 9 years for fun. Just thought I would share these vids with you.





 
Those look like some sturdy knives you're throwing. What kind of distance are you throwing from, and how many rotations? Just curious.

about 20 feet and I think about 1 rotation. Could be two rotations.
They are big knives.
 
Hey, glad you found the thrower section. Those knives look heavy duty. Most knives wont hold up to being thrown for long. Did you make them?
 
those look like Busse straight handled Battle Mistress' to me.

if I remember correctly I heard something about Cobalt having some sick amount of throws (over 10,000) with one of them.

edit: and good throwing cobalt! I'm still having trouble sticking a blade that big.
 
Yes, the one with the hollow rivets has been thrown over 15,000 times in 7 years. And that is conservative. They are SHBM's both of them.

And yes Kiov, you are correct, I have broken so many knives in throwing it's not funny. These two won't break or at least one has not broken in 7 years of throwing and chopping/batoning and the other has no broken in over a year of throwing and chopping/batoning.
 
That is really a fine looking knife. Knowing they are good throwers makes it even more tempting to get one. Too bad they are so expensive. Arent they around $500?

they are $387 for the new ones std handles. But your getting a do it all blade that you ca throw, chop slice with etc.
 
Do you have a suggestion on where to buy one? I'd be saving up for awhile, but I think I need one.

they are off the main site, so you will have to get one from the company store. Go to the Busse forum and check out where to go to the company store.
 
Did you get a matchin set of knives? I am guessing you got thrower's fatigue or that one of the knife hates to get stuck in :D
 
toooooo funny.... Knowing that Cobalt has been here so long and just found the throwing forum..... and that Busse has been here so long and the throwers never hearing about them....

No, I just have many. Several are users and several are queens never to be used unless these get lost.

haha you veri funi joe..:D Actually I was not use to throwing that one so it has taken me a few weeks to figure it's balance point out.
