Hi Everyone,

Looking to try my hand at throwing hatchets or tomahawks. Anyone have a suggestions for make and length? Greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Marquis

Best thrower I have found (even easy to teach a newbie, wife, kids, etc.) is the Cold Steel Frontier Hawk... 19 inch haft... perfect!!!

Consistency of the throw is most important... not sure if you want more specifics on 'how' to throw...

We found 5 paces to be the perfect distance to start, move slightly forward/backward to 'tweak' things depending on how the hawk hits the target...

Oh... and make sure the set-screw on the head is loosened first!!! If the head slides down the haft, just slide it right back and throw some more... this is why the haft won't typically break on this type of hawk...
