Throwing Knife Thought

Be sure and check your local knife laws. Most states prohibit carrying throwing knives regardless of blade length, but you can still throw on your own property. If your state does prohibit carry of throwing knife you may need to leave those at home...or go on with the no-spin technique and learn to throw anything (knives not made for throwing).

surprisingly, I find that ordinary steak knives are well balanced for no spin throwing. Granted they are not "ideal," but the balance point and frequency of finding them make them good to practice with. Also, try finding steak knives WITHOUT scales. They will only break and get in the way.

i would recommend the united cutlery mini blazing arrow, that is what i started out on and it worked great and has not broken yet

I've got a set of the SOG fusion throwers and I love them. when I first started throwing I missed the whole target a few times and they hit a concrete wall tip first and didn't break or bend them. I believe they are about the size you were looking for also( they have a 4.375 inch blade). the handles can easily be wrapped in para cord for a better grip if you wanted to use them for something other than throwing also.

may i ask where you got the thrower with the ring guard, ive been looking for one like for quite sometime now
