  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Throwing the cast net around

One thing you'll wanna do before you start practicing, if it's a new net or been kept in the box or bucket it came in, is soak it a bucket of water and with several ounces of fabric softer added to it. Soak it for a 12-24 hours, hang it up so the lead line is off the ground and rinse it out good. Let it hang for a day or two and it will help the monofilament get rid of it's memory and the net won't want to bunch up as bad. It'll eventually break in with use, but this helps speed the process up a lot.
