Yes, everyone at Busse Combat is on the sauce. . . it's part of the interviewing process!!! ;)

"Extraction Unit" is not the correct term. . . . Nor is "Euro Unit". . .Nor is "Everybody's Ugly" . . . Nor is "Eggs Undereasy". . Nor is "Elephant Underwear". . .

As for what they do? errrrrrr. . . . . . They. . uh. . they. . . do "stuff"! Yeah that's it! They do "stuff"!!!!
 
Sorry about ther error, I read it on the sticky thread at the top of this page. I take it you cannot disclose any information on this military unit. Could you at least say what the initials E, U stand for and the relevance of the digits 17? I understand if you cannot but I am a very curuious person by nature.

I got it, I bet it stands for Extermination Unit. These knives were made for Orkin weren't they ;)

I know Busses are built to widstand everything but throwing them seems to me to be too much. It's not a knife suited for throwing and I wouldn't perform such stunt just to see if it'll break or not. There's a better purpose for it than that. Never fantasized about broken knives and I like mine in one piece.

most throws don't stick first try but they all make a nice thud.

and not at a "throwing board"
trees, pallets, whatever.
 
I guess it's a go, if I am able to test out my new "thrower" this weekend I most certainly will post pics.

I've thrown my SHBM and SHSH plenty, with never a problem. I've also thrown an ergo BM very many times, with never a problem. What do you think could possibly happen?

The only thing to worry about, would be if you have rocks on the ground where you live, and you throw it at a tree, and it doesn't stick, flings to the ground, and the tip WHAMS into a rock, then you might have to straighten out the tip with a steel or something, I don't know, I never had anything like that happen to me. I just make sure I'm throwing in a safe place. At log piles, or trees with no rocks around, and I always make sure there are no cats in the direction I'm throwing! hehe Lots of fun, for sure. Take your users out and go for it. INFI is not afraid of wood, why should you be?

I have not yet thrown my NICK.

I have thrown a dozen or so Straight Handled Battle Mistress's.

At least 5 E-Model BM's including a Triple grind.

2 After Shocks

4 Mr. Mojo's

1 Mini MoJo

2 Steel Heart Variants

At least 4 Bird's Beak A-2 Steel Hearts.

6 INFI Straight Steel Heart's

A bunch of E- Model Steel Hearts.

I do not remember throwing any Outlaws.

And Many, many of the smaller knives,,,,as in many more of them, than the big knives.

The only one I ever hurt was an A-2 Mean Street that got stuck in the Concrete floor of my living Room,,,,I broke the last 1/16th of an inch of the tip prying the knife out of my slab, fixed it right up with a Dremel tool.

We smooth killed a two foot diameter 50 foot tall tree in my back yard one summer with Busse knives,,,,there were 8 of us throwing knives at that tree that summer.

I Throw them in three rooms in my house, I have killed Rabbits Throwing them.

You can Absolutely Throw almost any Busse Knife and stick it in a car Door/Hood/Fender/Trunk lid,,,,,you may need to dress the edge afterward.

I used to tell Jerry about what I was Throwing,,,,,and What I was Throwing them at,,,,,,,cost him both a little hair and some sleep,,,,,,Jack or Johnny helped him sleep after some of my Stories.
 
So, let's here it.
What are the best Busses to throw.
And which one did you kill the rabbit with.
Peter, you might want to wait for your mini EU-17,
and throw that instead. Just a thought.
 
The Big Danger in throwing Busse knives is when they Bounce and come right back at you pretty close to as hard as you threw them at the target.

Happens the most for me with big Trees.

Sticking them, thrown at Cement walls/Block walls tends to dull the knife.

I never found a need to send one Back to the Factory even to sharpen after throwing.

But then, I got the Strop.
 
One of the first 300 Straight Handled BM's is my Favorite to throw,,,killed 4 rabbits in my yard so far.

Straight Steel Hearts are also great throwers.

These knive speak with Authority when thown.

The Mean street has the most awsome Penetration of any small knife when thrown I have ever heard of.
