Ha! This questions comes up from time to time In desert environments the snorkel is not mainly for water crossings. But by relocating the air intake further above ground level you have cooler air and less dust (esp. when driving in a convoy). Engine and filters last much longer :thumbup:

There is always something beautiful about the desert, not much fun broken down out there and low on water though.
