Thumb Flippers - American, unassisted, awesome

Spine (push button/light switch/ect.) flippers seem to be all the rage. But I'm still drawn to thumb flippers. Be it studs or hole deployment, I'm good with both.

I have a PM2 and mini grip. But am always looking out for my next blade. The manix2 and BM940 are on my short list. The striker is too, but I think it may be a little too tactical for my office edc.

The mini grip is my go to (along with a traditional). I'm saving up for some of the awesome flat micarta slabs I've seen on here for it.

I have nothing against foreign blades (and there are some amazing ones out there), but I like supporting American made.

I'd love to try a sabenza, but at this point I my life I just can't put that much into a knife.

I've de-assisted a zt0566and its ok but a little too tactical, and mine doesn't flip great .... and it's way too heavy. So then I'm hesitant to get a 0550.

I've sanded down the g10 on my skyline, and it ok. Studs are too small, otherwise Inthink it'd make a great thumb flipper.

What am I missing. Anyone have any hidden jewels I've missed? Maybe I'm the only one.

thanks,

Jim

Benchmade 531 is a fantastic smooth knife that I've seen no others like. One of my favorite edcs. Super functional, thin flat grind, light, low profile and stabby. I think it is the smallest knife I can carry and still feel I've got a full blade on. I prefer it over the 940 no contest..

It's on the bottom. No clue why it's pictures with the large tactical blades.

Also, the another nod to the crooked River as a one of a kind gem.

Spyderco Mantra 2. Carries like a Leek with the handle of a Delica. What's not to love?

Due to arthritis, I have much love for flippers and spydie jokes. There are very, very few thumbstuds I can use comfortably.

I only own two thumbstud only knives.

BM 710 opens up like lightning. Very sleek and elegant for a larger knife.

The Spyderco Ti Military also a super fast opener. Love the Spydie Hole the most.

I dislike flippers. I'll take thumb studs and holes all day long.
