After ordering my CQC-8 I spent some time looking around the interwebs for a good fob to attatch it. Saw lots of pictures and threads, but I kept going back to www.knivesandlanyards.com.
I'm glad I did because Ken was very receptive to my idea for my fob, and got it tied the same evening I sent him an email. He was very conversant, and went over what he could do with me to get my ideas to work out. Later that evening he sent me a few pics of my fob and told me not to be worried about buying this "custom" fob if I wasn't satisfied.
Here's what he did for me:
The circular stitch actually conceals a flint rod, and the monkeyfist is wrapped around a .5" ball bearing. The paracord is reflective as we'll.
I'm impressed, and I think it'll serve my purpose well. I'll be sending a watch out to him for a paracord bracelet on Monday.
If anyone out there wants a good fob and wants to deal with a stand-up guy, check out Ken's site, www.knivesandlanyards.com.
