double studs just look better more symmetric and esthetically pleasing

Doubles are pulling ahead, which makes sense I guess, as I also like symmetry as well, but I'd not send one back to have it done...but that's just my opinion of course!

and Sorry for not putting a thumb disc option in there, I had one of those on my JW Smith folder, it was pretty handy to open with too, also the Wave opening, also popular...as well as flippers and butterfly types, a slew of choices for us buying public, handy that ! :)

Single Thumbstud.

Aside from appearance/symmetry, double lugs are not necessary.

I carry the knife in my right front pocket. My right hand always grabs my knife, as such my right hand always opens my knife. If necessary (hasn't been yet on my EDC), I can open my single stud with my left hand.

The thumb studs DO interfere when cutting things. Sometimes when cutting a large block cheese or a large diameter smoked meat, my thumbstud mangles the food while cutting into the large item. Times like this make me wish for a Spyderco hole.

I have only single but would prefer double. I use my micarta lg insingo at work and double studs would be nice when my right hands busy. Double for me.

I thought I would like doubles better, and although it looks better, the new sebs that I got with doubles don't feel right. So I guess I default back to single as a preference.

Boy the Doubles are climbing the charts quickly! I'm still sticking to the single thumb stud myself, haven't budged yet ;)
I do like the Spyderco hole openings too, as that doesn't get in the way when you go to sharpen, on some knives you can unscew the thumbstud which would help in sharpening time, but also means it's one more thing that can loosen up on you at the worst moment too, so I do like the CRK press fit thumb stud in that respect.

This is new and no dimple. Perhaps they listened. I am glad it's flat on the back.

I don't have a preference, this is my first Seb and I have one more on the way that I believe is a double.

Just got my first Sebenza and it has double lugs so seein' as how that's what I have, that's how I voted.

I've had single and double. I prefer the double because even though I'm right handed I do use my left to open the knife if I need to.
