Just purchased a Ti-ATR plain edge at the mall...
This is by far my favorite knife i have ever owned... I have the all black SS version... But when i handled the Ti version i had to have it... Needless to say i payed a pretty penny for sure... I will be useing this knife at work as an EDC and i think it will be At The Ready... Atleast i got to hand pick it... I think i am going to get the other plain edge to hold onto...
What a beast
Compared the the SS version is has a few very good differences...
-Usa made v/s japan... although not a big deal.. But a plus
-S30V blade measuring in at about .126 v/s VG-10 at .119
-Titanium handles which are thicker than the SS measuring at about .127 v/s .85 Making the grip much more comfortable...
-Less holes in handle... Just a better looking knife
-Different and perfect blade grind lines..
-Thicker bevel on a thicker handle makes for a better and softer grip
-Knife has less heft... I got rid of my digital OZ scale years ago when i quit:p:thumbup:

Looks great. I have the standard SS version and really do like it alot. The Ti version seems to have smoother lines.
I also had no idea it was made in Golden with an S30V blade. Congrats on a killer knife. Do you have more pics you could share? With out the red tint? Sure would like to see more of it.

Well done Trimcut :)

Very nice knife indeed. I've wanted one for the longest time, but like you say they go for a pretty penny. Every time I save up enough I end up buying a Kopa or Lava instead :P LOL

More pics please :)

Sure... heres another that i have on file from earlier..
I will take another tommorow... Any particular area you want a shot of..
Any differences in these knives are really only noticed in hand... Besides the difference in holes.... the blade grind... and the bevel on the handles you cant tell much apart without holding it......

Again.. I will definatly try to get some more shots later.. perhaps some action shots....
As far as price i did pay more than what they go for on ebay and around here by a bit... But i did get to pick it out...

No particular shots really. Just an overall view of the knife would be appreciated.

I think that's neat that you were able to hand pick the exact one you wanted. That does indeed make a difference in your appreciation of a knife purchase.

I'll keep an eye out for new pictures. Thank you.

i have 3 ti ATR's (and a SS one too), 2 PE & 1 SE, they are imho the best spyderco ever made, top notch material, top notch design, easy to carry in the pocket, feels good in the hand, i really really like mine and am glad i got mine when they werent too high $$, i paid on avarage ~$150 to $175 each for them, kinda hard to say really as 2 were partial swaps, i started with a SS one, liked it, got a PE ti, liked it, swapped a EKI commander for a SE ti, then had a chance at another PE right about when they were disco'd so i got it too.

i am honestly suprised they werent more popular, its my favorite spyderco knife by far, and in my EDC rotation its a EKI CQC12, a specwar CQC13, and the Ti PE ATR, always one of the three, i highly reccomend them.

one of my PE's and the SE are still LNIB and no they arent for sale lol.

Picture added up top

Titanium thickness compared to the standard SS version
Everthing about the Ti-version and SS is different besides the fact they are the same design... The machining is also much different....
