Ti/Carbon Fiber S90v Military sale

Why did I just call it a blow-out price? Because my second order's shipping method while still free seems to be First-Class Mail instead. With the increase in the USPS shipping prices in January 2018, I really think that at this price KW is cutting things quite close to the bone and we may never see this Military iteration at or below this price again. Not shilling for KW, just stating my observation based on going with the cheaper and slower free shipping method. This who had bough at those higher sales prices may want to chime in as to what their free shipping experiences were or if anyone has received free Priority Mail service at the current sale price of $199.95?

I bought it at this latest sale price as soon as I saw this thread and it shipped UPS Ground.

With out a doubt. If we have everything paid off, and no kids to worry about then why not buy 50 of them?
Well, even with that said there is still a balancing act to be done even if it's just storage room in your safe. ;)

I suspect those of us with the financial freedom to buy all of any item that we like are in the minority. I also suggest that those of us looking for #3, 4, 5 of the same knife are trying to fill a void
that can not be filled with that object. You know, maybe it's time to take up tennis or go on a road trip, or something else. Just something to think about for our knife loving fellows.

After all my recent jesting and pontifications, I received my bargain basement $199.95 and the second of my CF/Ti units today in the mail. It is simply PERFECT so I can attest according to what I have received, these are not the bottom of the barrel no-one-esle-wanted-rejects! As a matter of fact, I included a note with my online purchase order for KW to check for F&F, centering, opening, drop, etc and to their credit someone actually initialized their name next to that request on my printed receipt

No to tennis!!! I'd like to have my own hips & knees by then if I make it to my late 70's - mid 80's or even further (YIKES!). Road trips most definitely because there are still younger fresh honeys who'd still appreciate a silver fox with a few $$$ left to his name. OK TMI and I'm actually a very bad influence and example. Let's just leave it at that but again, the CF/Ti folder which I just received is PERFECTION so the reduced price did not compromise the integrity of the sale :)

I think they ship whether UPS or USPS depending on which is more cost effective based on the regional rates. My First-Class shipping notification had estimated next Monday but it showed up today: Saturday. I'm very pleased again :)

I am not sure if this militarys secondary market price will increase after sold out. All I know is at $200 it is a very good price. So it is not a bad idea to buy a backup.
The Millie is not as popular as the PM2..this cf/ti Millie was a 1200 piece run..that's not a small number..if it does go up in value its going to take awhile..3 to 5 years I would guess.
The sold out BHQ M4 Jade Millie is doing ok.. but who knows how many were made? The 1200 piece Cruwear version came out 5 years ago and is just now starting to sell in the $200 or more range.

It'd be the incorrect mindset to speculate as to whether or not to purchase this folder in the anticipation of some potential future price appreciation. I would be lying if I state here that notion not bugging me in the back of my mind when it comes to every single knife purchase design but by and large, I don't think of knives as "assets" that must be a working and paying asset. This has happened to some of my fixed blades and some folders which I got really lucky on but otherwise, I lost a few $ on every knife I bought, didn't end up liking/loving and then I sold them on. What I can tell you with respect to what else is out there is that if the ergos of this pattern work for you (the general you) this is now sitting at a very good value point simply because of there material used in its construction above and over the fact that they turned out to be very very nicely done too

You are absolutely correct. Robert Kiyosaki refers to these type of items as "Do-Dads". He said that most people incorrectly even refer to their home as an asset, but assets are something that makes you
money each month like a rental property. "Do-Dads" are something people stay broke buying or blunder their raises that they worked hard for on. I learned a lot from his book and its one of the reasons I've
been trying to be more responsible in purchasing. I might like to own some stocks or property some day.

Is it bad that I have been thinking of putting all of my other millies on the exchange for like $80 and buying two more of these? It is really the only military I carry. I carry it more than my Southpaw Millie and I am lefty.

If you dont like those other millies of yours, then it should be easy. Just sell them off to buy the one you like. In my case, however, the decision is tougher because I like them all.

S30v DLC digicam millie: the DLC blade and digicam handle is a fabulous combo. s30v is easy to sharpen and holds a sharp edge well.

Fluted ti millie: the fluted ti handle is just gorgerous.

kw cts 204p green g10: 204p steel is among the best folding knife steel. Satin blade and green g10 scales are a great combo as well.

I did managed to sell a plain titanium millie but now find myself regretting. I miss the hefty feeling that no other militarys give me. Plus, contrary to many people, I actually felt it is more comfortable in hand than fluted ti millie.

This thread is killing me. Was getting ready to order this morning and saw the BHQ sprint Lum Tanto is dropping Tuesday. Not sure which to get. o_O

Mine just arrived today.
Absolutely perfect,,, 40%-50% lockup, centered blade with no blade play.
Lubed lightly with Nano-Oil 5wt in the washers and 10wt on lock bar surfaces and ball detent area.
Blade free falls after Nano-Oil lub.
Every detail on knife is very well executed.
Stiffer lock release wrt the liner lock designs however, still very comfortable with no lock stick.

This is Spyderco no. 10 in my Military collection,,,, 7 are newer CQI designs.

In the 90's I had purchased 4 of the CPM 440V Military knives, sold them off a few years ago in favor of the newer CQI models.

Regards,
FK

My thumb is a little tender from playing with it all weekend, lol. But I agree, another perfect specimen from Golden.
