okay, so i thought i'd seen them all but holy cow they keep popping out of nowhere.

i thought i'd finally eliminated all of them within my budget [$200] and then the boker haddock popped up [btw, any thoughts or opinions on that bad boy?]

anyways. back to the topic. i know there have got to be a bunch of ti frame locks out there i haven't heard of or seen under 2 bills, and i'll be looking for more knives since me and my gf JUST broke up :D extra cash! [glass half full right?] so hit me with some sort of comprehensive list to drool over until payday!!!!

you can find a benchmade 790 subrosa for under $200. It's a ti-framelock that's also assisted, 3.7ish inch s30v blade, etc. fantastic.

Haddock is fantastic. I have sebenzas, striders and the like but the haddock surprised me quite a bit and I love it.

The BM Skirmish was popular and the Kershaw Volt is pretty awesome with M390 'super steel', lockbar stabilize, and perfectly seamless G10 inlay, but both are discontinued although pop up on the exchange from time to time. The Spyderco Sage 2 is popular and really well made but I find the cutout to access the lock uncomfortable.

Hi SpartanSaint -

Although I do not have one, I would suggest the Kershaw Speedform 3500.

Look in the for sale forum for kershawguy - he has some of these for a great price, and some online vendors still have them as well.

The Speedline 3500 was a special limited edition of the subsequent Speedform II.

I have one coming to add to my collection.

I also give the Volt 3600 high marks as a "you should have one in the collection" Ti folder - they are just cool, with a great look and functionality.

You can get either of these for under $200 if you look around.

best regards -

The Kershaw Speedform is also an awesome ti framelock knife. Love the Volt and wished I had gotten two instead of the one.

You mean the speedform... and the fit and finish is incredible on the knife. I am surprised that it was sold for such an incredible price. If you can get past that nasty pocket clip... then you will be incredibly happy!!

You also have the bradley alias.. But I would just go ahead and suggest to skip on to the sebenza. They are worth the money. I have been there, done that, had most of the framelocks described above... and the only thing in the same league as the sebenza so far is the XM-18 which I have sitting on my desk as I type this!

ZT 0300, 0301, or 0302...All have Ti frame-locks.

The 0303 is also out there now, same as the others you mentioed, but this one has a 4" blade! I think you might want to upgrade Gman at some point. I'm scraping up some change to try and get one of these.

My 0301 just arrived today. SOLID.

I didn't know that the 303 had a 4.0" blade and the others a 3.75" blade. Looks like the handle is the same length at 5.25" for both, just packed in another 1/4" of blade for the 303!

Well, for $200.00 the O.P. can't get a Sebenza, I don't think;)!

I sure do like my Bradley Alias I- you can find them fairly often for $150-$200 on eBay. Light, tough, smooth.

And the Benchmade 755 Shane Siebert Mini Pocket Rocket is very nice as well- definitely not for everyone or every purpose, but if you want a Ti-frame folder built like a tank, this would be the one. I'm very fond of mine.

Can't go wrong with a Bradley Alias II at $169!

Hi Incahiker - yes, I dunno where speedline came from - corrected - thanks.

I recently went on a knife binge and some of the knives I bought were framelocks.

Spyderco Chokwe: Smoothest framelock I have and the spyderhole makes it easy to open. The handle has a subtle curvature and a bit of a finger choil so ergos are not that bad but not that great either (compared to a millie). I would only buy it if you like the looks.

Kershaw Speedform: Feels nice in hand thanks to the contoured scales but fairly heavy. Blade is narrow and quite thick all the way to the tip so it is not great for fine work but would excel at stabbing (if you expect to do that often ). I personally love the design and how sleek it is when closed but I dont plan to carry it often because the clip is difficult to slide onto pockets.

Side note: the Speedform II is a great little knife except for the thumbstuds, which are small and make the knife difficult to open.

Bradley Alias I: It is simple and has a nice size, weight, and shape IMO. I think of it as a lighter, more ergonomic sebenza (I used to own a large sebenza). If you like how it looks, you will probably like this knife because you will get what you see. If you have larger hands get the I, smaller hands get the II.

EDIT: want to add that I paid $240 for the Alias and dont feel that I wasted my money. Mine came perfectly centered with early lock up and a sharp blade and opens quite smoothly.
