Ti framelock suggestions

The Ken Onion designed CRKT Eros is on my shopping list. I bought the Ripple a while back and am now an IKBS convert

I'd avoid the Boker Haddock. I had one and the fit and finish was not nearly up to par. Uneven grind lines, uncentered blade, so-so lockup, a bit of bladeplay, and the blade wasn't even close to sharp until I had to make it that way.

There are many other great choices that are already mentioned. One of my favorites is the Kershaw Ti/SG2 JYDII. An absolutely awesome knife for the price.

The BM 630 Skirmish is a great knife. I bought a LN backup last month for well below the OP's limit - but they are getting harder to find nowadays. The Kershaw JYDII in Ti & SG2 is a great bargain as a blemished version from a seller here. Both of these models were dropped a long time ago.

For currently available Ti framelocks, some with G10, etc, consider the following. From bottom left CW: BM 790 Subrosa; BM 755 MPR; ZT 301; and the Boker Haddock. All are available here - or via Evil-bay - for less than the OP's limit delivered.

Only the 790 is all Ti, the remainder have most or all of one scale as G10. The ZT 301 is a moose - the 755 is right with it, in the stout department. It's the last of the four I'd part with - my EDC choice of the four by a large margin. The Haddock, nice for Sunday carry, is my least favorite. The assisted open nature of the BM 790 and ZT 301 make them an acquired taste.

As delivered, the BM's tied for sharpest, followed closely by the ZT. The Haddock had a wire edge, which came off with some jean pants leg stropping, yielding a paper strip cutting edge. A few minutes on the Sharpmaker made it a razor - as it mostly remains today. The others popped arm hairs new out of the box.

I didn't know that the 303 had a 4.0" blade and the others a 3.75" blade. Looks like the handle is the same length at 5.25" for both, just packed in another 1/4" of blade for the 303!

I'm pretty sure it's the all black version of the ZT 0300 line with the same blade length 3 3/4 - (which btw, I can't get any of my rulers to show me that much blade length on my ZT 0301)

Different websites show it at 4" and some at 3 3/4" I'd tend to believe it's the latter. :)

According to youtube videos, it is the same length as the others. It has the camo blade with black G10.

A question on the BM Subrosa...how has the edge been holding up compared to the ZT under similar use?
