Ti Herbst questions - blade detent

Does anyone know what the blade detent is made of on the Ti Herbst model? I have one who's opening quality went south all the sudden. Hows does on e get it aprt, I se eonly a pivot screw?

Since this model is long discontinued I realize sending it back to Spyderco might not be an option.

Hi Dave,

the steel ball was too soft. That's why they were tossed. It probably wore down. We only shipped out a few to collectors, then we shipped out some 2nds. Maybe STR can put a hard ball in for you.
